You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

  • Desirable Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • +5 years of experience in content strategy, editorial planning, SEO, or a related role within the marketing or digital media space, preferably within the travel and hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies across digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles, content marketing tools, analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics 360, Adobe Analytics, Looker Studio), and heat mapping tools (e.g., Hotjar, Quantum Metric, ClickTale).
  • Proficiency with CMS platforms such as Contentful, WordPress, Drupal, or Magento.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt content to various audiences and platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams — including creative, technical, and business stakeholders — in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution of content initiatives.
  • Experience in online retail, hotel, and/or travel industries is a strong plus.

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

Content Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and own the overall content strategy for digital platforms (websites and mobile applications), ensuring alignment with business goals and audience needs.
  • Plan, create, and optimize content for key digital assets such as web pages, mobile app blogs, landing pages, and microsites.
  • Define and refine content pillars and themes based on audience insights and business objectives, in partnership with Brand/Content Marketing teams.
  • Establish frameworks and editorial standards to maintain consistency in tone, voice, and messaging across all content.

SEO and Performance Optimization

  • Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to boost content visibility and rankings.
  • Optimize content for every stage of the customer journey (awareness, consideration, conversion).
  • Use analytics and heat mapping tools to evaluate content performance and adjust strategies based on actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with UX, development, and performance marketing teams to ensure technical SEO alignment and accessibility.

Content Management and Collaboration

  • Manage editorial calendars and publishing workflows across multiple digital channels.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contributors to deliver cohesive content initiatives.
  • Ensure content adheres to brand standards and legal, compliance, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Oversee content updates, version control, and lifecycle governance for digital assets.

Content Governance and Quality Assurance

  • Establish and manage content governance frameworks, including approval processes and audits.
  • Maintain documentation for tone of voice, messaging guidelines, and editorial workflows.
  • Ensure high-quality, accurate, and user-centered content that is optimized for both users and search engines.
  • Drive continuous improvement through post-launch evaluations and performance-based iterations.
