Senior UI Designer

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies: 

• Bachelor's degree in interaction design, interface design, human-computer interaction, service design, or graphic design with emphasis on UI or equivalent certification. 
• 5+ years as UI Designer with Demonstrable experience of design-related problem-solving capabilities and leadership skills.  
• Demonstrated experience working on web design projects is required. Experience with corporate or enterprise websites is highly desirable. 
• A creative thinker who proactively proposes innovative and engaging concepts and design solutions. 
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong self-management skills, as well as the ability to deliver high quality user interface designs in a timely manner. 
• Advanced knowledge of Figma, Sketch, Prototype Tools, and Adobe Creative Suite (Desirable). 
• Proven soft skills, such as presenting ideas, proactive communication, active listening, pragmatic approach, etc. 
• A C1 level of English proficiency. This role involves direct communication with US-based clients, so excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. 
• A proven strategic mindset that prioritizes data-driven decision-making and problem-solving within a design context. 
• Able to adapt work methodologies and shift between strategic and pragmatic mindsets to effectively address diverse project needs. 
• ​​​​​​​Proficient handling of tools such as Hotjar, Google Analytics, among others. 

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities: 

• Design user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity screens and build out refined details. 
• Understand and incorporate technical and business requirements into thoughtful design decisions founded on data, trends, and industry best practices.
• Design and implement design systems that drive consistency and coherence across digital products. 
• Analyze research insights and successfully turn them into product ideas and solutions.
• Participate in user research activities such as user interviews, surveys, and usability studies. 
• Prototype concepts for communication with stakeholders, to aid in demos and development.
• Develop quality user interfaces by creating viable solution options, identifying pros/cons of each, and making recommendations to stakeholders.
• Present, articulate, and sell design ideas and recommendations to stakeholders and team.
• Work in partnership with the engineering team to implement UI patterns and ensure visual consistency across products. 
• Work with the engineering and QA team, to ensure the visual quality of what we release.
• Lead team initiatives and ensure their completion
• ​​​​​​​Act as a mentor to other members of the team by participating in design talks, mentoring program and conducting recurring touch points.
