What the role involves:
As a Social Media Strategist at IOG you will help develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to support marketing objectives across our product offering and help us improve and learn as we roll out this strategy.
We are looking for an analytical and perceptive individual who is a skilled communicator and able to collaborate with various teams. Ultimately, you will ensure our social presence aligns with our broader marketing vision and contributes to measurable business outcomes. This role will be reporting to the Head of Public & Media Relations.
Strategy Development & Implementation
- Define and execute social media strategies aligned with IO marketing goals and brand guidelines.
- Continuously assess emerging channels and tools to refine current strategies.
Content Management & Creation
- Manage, create, and publish original, high-quality content across multiple social media platforms.
- Collaborate with writers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure content is informative, brand-aligned, and appealing.
Community & Account Management
- Administer company social media accounts, ensuring timely responses and engaging interactions with followers.
- Monitor user engagement, address queries, and manage social listening to maintain brand reputation.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, focusing on key metrics such as reach, engagement, conversion, and ROI.
- Analyze trends and provide optimization recommendations to improve visibility and engagement.
Training & Collaboration
- Train internal teams to adopt and maintain a cohesive social media strategy.
- Champion best practices throughout the organization and encourage knowledge-sharing.
Research & Innovation
- Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies, social media trends, and best practices to keep strategies fresh and effective.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships, brand collaborations, or influencer marketing initiatives.
Who you are:
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Strategist or Social Media Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience in digital marketing or related fields is a plus (e.g., content marketing, brand management).
- Hands on experience using social media for brand awareness
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
- An ability to identify target audience preferences and build content to meet them
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work carefully
- Self-Starter: Proactive approach, comfortable working independently while knowing when to request support.
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: Ability to review work carefully and manage multiple projects within deadlines.
- Team spirit; strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with a remote team and stakeholders
- Ability to deliver projects on time and willingness to ask for support when needed
- Willingness to share and adopt ideas
- Belief that shared success is better than individual glory
