Product Design Lead

Job Overview

Product Design is one of the most important roles in the company. You'll shape learners’, teachers’, and customers’ journeys to ensure successful learning and program management within our innovative solutions. You’ll manage a small Design team and collaborate with a global team of Product, Engineering, and Content members based in Brazil, the United States, Italy, Spain, Ireland, and beyond. Responsibilities

In addition to managing another Designer, you'll partner closely with Product Managers and Engineering leads to manage the full lifecycle of features and improvements in Voxy's Live Instruction and Program Management workstreams. You'll use data, customer insights, and design best practices to craft user-centric solutions in the following areas:

Live Instruction

• Virtual Classroom and Booking Flows: Help learners find and attend the best classes to achieve their goals with highly qualified teachers. Your work will interface with the Learner workstream managing learners’ self-study experience. 
• Teacher Operations: Design scalable workflows for efficient backend operations including teacher onboarding, availability, scheduling and payments. Your work will include service design across multiple systems and teams. 

Product Management

• Program Management Tools: Design intuitive, accessible administrative tools for the Voxy Command Center, used by both internal and external program managers. Your work will directly support business-critical functions such as user enrollment, license management, and data delivery reporting.
• Data Reporting Interfaces: Create data visualization and reporting interfaces that make complex data pipelines easy to interpret and act upon. Your work will support both technical and non-technical users in accessing key insights.

Design Strategy

• Design System: Collaborating closely with Frontend engineering, you'll drive better user experiences and faster development with pragmatic choices in an atomic design system. 
• Accessibility Standards: You'll be an advocate for accessibility within the company and work with the Design and Development teams to ensure compliance to WCAGstandards. 

What are we looking for?

• The person needs to currently reside in LatAm to be eligible for this role
• Experience managing high performing Product Designers Demonstrated experience in UI, UX, and service design with a focus on creating user-centered experiences 
• Ability to facilitate collaborative service design workshops in complex stakeholder landscapes 
• Ability to transform complex data into intuitive interfaces, making data easy for users to understand and use 
• Basic familiarity with accessibility (WCAG A and AA) to ensure inclusive products 
• Experience with handoff to development and design system maintenance, ensuring visual and functional consistency in the product 
• Knowledge of how APIs and AI work to integrate and optimize these technologies within the user experience 
• Advanced proficiency in English and one additional operational language (Portuguese, Spanish or Italian)
