Senior Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer with extensive experience in Python, AirTest IDE, and Poco SDK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-level test automation project architecture and a passion for ensuring the highest quality in our gaming products. Familiarity with modern test automation frameworks like Playwright and Appium is a plus.

What will you do for us

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using AirTest IDE and Poco SDK.
• Maintain running of auto scripts on our own-built Device Farm
• Design and implement high-level test automation project architectures.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Identify opportunities for test automation and implement solutions to enhance testing efficiency.
• Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects using tools such as Jira.
• Maintain and update the test automation framework to ensure its robustness and scalability.
• Perform code reviews and provide guidance to junior team members on best practices in test automation.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in test automation and integrate them into the existing framework where applicable.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in test automation.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Extensive experience with AirTest IDE and Poco SDK.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing high-level test automation project architectures.
• Familiarity with modern test automation frameworks such as Playwright and Appium.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of software development and testing principles.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Nice to Have:

• Decent Prompt Engineering skills. Practical experience using coding AI assistance (Copilot, etc)
• Experience with additional test automation frameworks like Playwrigh, Selenium, Cypress
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
