QA Automation Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for both new features and existing software functionalities, ensuring thorough coverage across all testing scenarios.
• Identify, document, and report bugs and defects within software applications, collaborating with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues.
• Uphold and advocate for high-quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to streamline the testing process, increase efficiency, and reduce manual testing efforts.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and designers to understand requirements and ensure that quality considerations are integrated from the outset.
• Conduct performance and security testing to ensure that applications are not only functional but also performant under load and secure from potential threats.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing environments, data, and guidelines, and gathering feedback to incorporate into future development cycles.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role utilizing Automation within a software development environment
• Proficient in automated testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting to verify database impacts and automate repetitive tasks.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes and GIT version control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing tools, understanding of CICD  practices, and experience in the broadcasting or digital media industry is a plus.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with different stakeholders
