WordPress Developer

 The developer will be working with key leadership roles and maintaining the content from the day-to-day activities of various websites.

   Job Responsibilities:

• Build, configure and manage web components for WordPress development
• Work closely with Senior Executive teams across the organization to enhance features and prioritization tasks
• Assist in managing front and back-end components of WordPress applications
• Develop WordPress plug-ins and themes as per requirements
• Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code
• Scale-up development skills adapting to trends, and security practices for WordPress projects 
• Emphasize on details to ensure high-quality and stable deliverables
• Build and execute tasks based on short-term and long-term development roadmaps
• Adopt the right strategies, understand business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation
• Build scalable software solutions based on business requirements and necessary architecture
• Demonstrate success in software project delivery, experience driving technical efforts, and experience with a variety of development tools and technologies
• Contribute to end-to-end development cycles in gathering, solution design, development, testing, support, and maintenance to continually evaluate the functionality of the suite of sites
• Build up a deep understanding of priorities, dependencies, scope, dates, and deliverables
• Develop new documentation, documentation standards, technical procedures, muser guides, and operational workflows
• Take ownership of WP-Engine deployments, and assist in monitoring software testing, integrations, and production environments
• Ensure developed websites meet ADA requirements and standards
• Update news section, announcements, and other content on site pages to display the latest information
• Build and scale-up pages for new film acquisitions, original film/TV productions, public programming events, and educational initiatives including trailers/clips, stills, premiere/screening schedules, and general information 
• Learn and contribute to virtual screening platforms, including film and asset uploads, ticketing, and initiating livestream functionality
• Collaborate to develop e-newsletters for promoting multiple initiatives

   Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a WordPress developer
• Knowledge of working with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation
• Thorough understanding of programming languages like PHP, ASP.NET, Ruby, etc.
• Must be able to work with code versioning tools like Git, Mercurial, or SVN
• Well versed in website architecture, aesthetics, and SEO perspectives
• Deep understanding of network diagnostics and analytics tools
• Object-oriented programming skills is highly preferable
• Possess a deep understanding of app security, session management, and best methods
• Expertise in multiple troubleshooting techniques 
• Experience working with debugging tools like Chrome Inspector and Firebug
• Experience of working in an Agile Scrum process
