Senior Software Engineer – Developer Platform

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to build and maintain full-stack features across our web applications and APIs. Working within a small product team, you will own features from design through production and contribute to code reviews and technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
• Develop and support REST or GraphQL APIs using Node.js.
• Design database schemas and write efficient queries in PostgreSQL.
• Implement caching solutions using Redis.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest, Vitest, and Playwright.
• Containerize services with Docker and deploy to AWS EKS using Helm and GitHub Actions.
• Monitor applications and troubleshoot production issues using Datadog.
• Integrate applications with third-party platforms and APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and production support.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience building production applications with React.
• Experience developing and maintaining REST or GraphQL APIs with Node.js.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Git and pull request workflows.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Kubernetes, Helm, or AWS services, including EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, and ECR.
• Experience with an ORM such as TypeORM.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS and component libraries such as Radix or shadcn/ui.
• Experience with React Query or similar data-fetching libraries.
• Experience with high-traffic or transactional systems, such as ticketing, e-commerce, or payments.
