Senior Data Reliability Engineer at BairesDev

In this role, you'll build a new data quality layer, implementing freshness, volume, and schema checks across pipelines, plus reconciliation between source feeds and Gold-layer tables. Wiring alerting into existing observability tooling, you'll ensure issues are caught early, before they can impact downstream consumers. This is your opportunity to build real technical guardrails around critical reference and pricing data, strengthening reliability across a growing data platform.

What You'll Do:

- Implement data quality checks for freshness, volume, and schema across pipelines.
- Build reconciliation processes between source feeds and Gold-layer tables.
- Wire alerting into existing observability tooling to catch issues before they escalate.
- Define and support recovery objectives for prioritized, business-critical datasets.

What we are looking for:

- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data reliability engineering.
- Strong experience implementing data quality frameworks.
- Experience with data observability tooling.
- Hands-on experience with Datadog.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Advanced proficiency in English.

Nice to have:

- Experience with SODA-DQ.
- Familiarity with Collibra.
- Experience with Starburst or Trino.
- Experience defining SLOs and RTOs.
