Design Manager

Overview of the role:

As a Product Design Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Product Designers working across key product areas at Flutter Brazil. In this role, you will be responsible for elevating design quality, developing talent, and ensuring the team delivers impactful, user-centered experiences aligned with business and product goals.

You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and business leaders to shape solutions that balance user needs, business priorities, and technical feasibility. This role plays a key part in strengthening design culture, improving execution standards, and connecting design outcomes to measurable product impact.

What you’ll do:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Designers, supporting their growth and performance.
• Translate the broader design vision into actionable goals aligned with product strategy.
• Ensure high-quality design execution across the full product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery.
• Promote insight-driven design decisions using user research, behavioral analytics, and experimentation.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data teams to deliver user-centered solutions.
• Represent design in planning discussions and influence product strategy with user experience insights.
• Facilitate design critiques and reviews to strengthen craft, clarity, and impact.
• Drive adherence to the design system and improve consistency, accessibility, and scalability across products.
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and shared ownership of outcomes.
• Strengthen design culture by promoting knowledge sharing, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring:

We require a candidate who has achieved or is capable of the following:

• Strong foundation in UX/UI and product design, with the ability to guide and critique complex design work.
• Proven experience leading and developing Product Designers and building high-performing teams.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking, team needs, and delivery priorities in a fast-paced product environment.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, and Data teams.
• Experience using research, analytics, and experimentation to inform design decisions and improve product outcomes.
• Understanding of design systems, scalable design practices, and experience metrics.
• Advanced or fluent English.
