We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Legal Assistant to join our growing personal injury law team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting attorneys and paralegals throughout all stages of litigation and pre-litigation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable balancing client-facing responsibilities with behind-the-scenes case management in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
Client Interaction
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, providing timely updates, scheduling assistance, and answers to general case-related questions.
- Maintain consistent, professional communication to ensure clients feel supported and informed throughout the lifecycle of their case.
- Assist in onboarding new clients, collecting required information, and setting clear expectations for next steps.
Case Management Support
- Open, organize, and maintain client files within case management systems (Filevine, PINS, or similar).
- Draft routine correspondence, discovery requests/responses, and legal documents under attorney/paralegal supervision.
- Track and manage key case deadlines, hearings, depositions, and trial dates, ensuring accurate calendaring and follow-through.
- Conduct preliminary legal research or fact-finding assignments as requested.
Administrative & Litigation Support
- Coordinate and schedule client meetings, depositions, mediations, and medical appointments.
- Obtain, organize, and summarize medical records, bills, police/accident reports, and other critical evidence.
- Support trial preparation by assembling exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Handle general office tasks, including scanning, filing, and managing incoming/outgoing correspondence.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Administrative Assistant (personal injury law highly preferred).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems (Filevine experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with personal injury terminology, litigation procedures, and handling of medical records preferred.
- Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and eagerness to contribute in a team-driven environment.
