About Tech Lead Manager responsibilities at QuintoAndar
At QuintoAndar, the Technical Lead Manager (TLM) role begins at the Senior Software Engineer level and bridges both technical leadership and people management. TLMs are responsible for setting the technical direction, ensuring high-quality execution, and managing their team's career development and priorities. This role requires a strong technical foundation combined with a passion for managing people. While TLMs have a more focused management scope compared to traditional managers at the same level, they remain a core part of the technical track. This means career growth can occur within the technical path, progressing toward Staff+ roles, or laterally into the management track with increased management responsibilities and direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical implementation of projects, solving complex problems, ensuring progress, and delivering high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and efficient solutions. This includes addressing core engineering needs.
- Grow, coach, and manage a diverse and inclusive team of 2~5 skilled software engineers, supporting their career development and helping them achieve their goals.
- Define and maintain the engineering culture while guiding the design of technical solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to drive technical alignment, balance trade-offs, and ensure timely project delivery alongside your senior manager.

- Develop independent services and platforms to enable our Product to evolve (e.g. parts of billing, visit scheduling, price optimization, self-service negotiation);
- Create easy-to-understand, well-documented APIs.
- Create scalable, maintainable and user driven solutions. We use several different technologies. You don't need to know all these upfront, but you need to learn fast.
- Deal effectively with legacy code when necessary.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language, with a willingness to learn others.
- Have already led other Software Engineers into a successful product or platform.
- People that are seeking to learn and deliver real impact through high-quality data-driven and structured software, valuing work-life balance;
- A strong sense of ownership, capable of managing end-to-end problem-solving, while also delegating effectively and seeking out the knowledge needed to get the job done.
- Fluency in Portuguese and working proficiency in English, as we use English for code, documentation, tools, and communication with international partners and teams

Location & Remote Work for technology and remote-first roles
Our technology team operates under a "remote-first" model, which means we work from home and can live anywhere in Brazil. We also offer the option of working from our São Paulo offices or partner coworking spaces, up to twice a week.
