Product Design Lead

You are a seasoned product designer with a passion for building and leading high-performing teams. You have a deep understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle and a proven track record of shipping successful products.

• Experience & Leadership: You have at least 8+ years of experience in product design, with a minimum of 2+ years in a leadership or senior role. You've led teams and mentored junior designers, helping them grow and achieve their full potential.
• English Proficiency: You are a fluent and confident communicator in English, both written and spoken.
• Problem-Solving: You are a strategic thinker who can tackle complex, ambiguous problems. You can break down large-scale initiatives into actionable design tasks and guide your team toward effective solutions.
• Execution & Ownership: You have a strong sense of ownership and are driven to deliver results. You hold your team to a high standard of execution and are accountable for the quality and impact of their work.
• Design Systems: You have experience contributing to and evolving design systems. You understand the value of consistency and efficiency in design.
• Mentorship: You are a natural mentor and coach, skilled at providing constructive feedback and fostering a positive, collaborative environment where designers can thrive.
• Quality & Standards: You have an unwavering commitment to quality. You establish and enforce high standards for design excellence, ensuring our products are visually appealing, user-friendly, and technically sound.
• Data-Driven Mindset: You are comfortable using data and user research to inform your design decisions. You have a customer-obsessed approach and prioritize building products that truly solve user problems.
• Technical Skills: You are a master of Figma and proficient in other relevant design tools. You can create prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups with ease. You also have a solid understanding of front-end technologies and their impact on design.

What You Will Do 

• Lead & Mentor: You will lead and mentor a team of talented designers, including product designers, content designers, and UX researchers. You will provide regular feedback, set clear expectations, and support their professional growth across all these disciplines.
• Drive Strategy: You will own the design strategy for your product area, identifying key user problems and opportunities for innovation. You will work closely with other design leaders, product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define strategy and align on product goals.
• Prioritize: You will help your team prioritize their work, ensuring they focus on the most impactful projects that align with business objectives.
• Hands-on Design: You will remain a hands-on designer, contributing to projects and leading by example. You'll be involved in key design critiques and decisions, ensuring a high level of craft and quality across the team's output.
• Foster Culture: You will help cultivate a strong, positive, and collaborative design culture within the organization. You'll champion the value of design and advocate for user-centered thinking at every stage of the product lifecycle.
• Design Systems Guardian: You will act as a guardian and key contributor to our Design System, ensuring its evolution and adoption across the team to maintain consistency and efficiency.
