Scope of the Role:
As a Pricing Analyst, you'll play a key role in shaping pricing strategies across the company. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Finance, Supplier Success, and Marketing—to ensure our pricing remains competitive while meeting profitability targets. This is a data-heavy role that requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with finance, marketing, and supplier success teams to develop pricing strategies aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
- Analyze large datasets using SQL and Looker to evaluate historical pricing, cost structures, and market trends.
- Build financial models to assess the impact of pricing changes on revenue, margins, and overall profitability.
- Ensure cost components and market variables are accurately integrated into pricing decisions.
- Monitor financial performance of pricing strategies and recommend optimizations based on outcomes.
- Support cross-functional teams by presenting data-driven pricing insights and communicating the financial implications clearly.
- Implement robust data validation practices to ensure accuracy and integrity of pricing data.
Requirements
Years of Experience:
- 2–4 years of experience as a Pricing Analyst in ecommerce or the automotive aftermarket industry (required).
Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of pricing models, cost structures, and financial analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
Tools and Software:
- SQL (preferred)
- Looker or other BI tools (preferred)
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets for financial modeling
- Familiarity with other data analysis tools or programming languages is a plus
