Xometry is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Communications Strategist to manage and grow our corporate presence across multiple channels — including social media, press, and internal communications. This role will be instrumental in upholding our brand voice, driving consistent messaging, and ensuring timely, thoughtful communication across audiences.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and understands the nuances of different channels — from LinkedIn, Facebook, and X/Twitter to media outreach, press inquiries, and employee communications. Strong monitoring, content flagging, and real-time response capabilities are essential, along with the ability to craft and adapt messages for both external and internal stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing:
- Social Media Execution: Write and schedule posts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.), monitor channels, report on performance.
- PR Execution: Update media lists, maintain headshots/bios of thought leaders, coordinate interviews, and may include drafting press releases or PR content.
- Internal Comms Execution: Draft employee emails/Slack posts, update toolkits, and support event logistics (such as Town Halls).
- Content Creation: Collaborate with marketing, communications and design teams to plan and produce high-quality, on-brand content (graphics, videos, copy) tailored to each platform.
- Community Management: Foster positive community engagement by interacting with users in a brand-appropriate tone and voice. Address customer inquiries or concerns in collaboration with customer service or PR teams when needed.
- Admin: Handle invoicing, vendor coordination, and budget tracking for Communications team.
- Content Flagging & Risk Management: Proactively identify and flag user-generated content that may present reputational risks, ensuring it is reviewed and addressed quickly.
- Reporting & Monitoring: Track coverage, compile dashboards, assist with measurement projects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including marketing, communications, PR, and HR to align social strategy with company goals and campaigns.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4-5 years of experience in communications,, preferably in a corporate or B2B setting.
- Experience in content creation and digital marketing, preferably in a corporate or B2B setting.
- Background in PR, communications or journalism.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and their respective best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and an instinct for brand protection.
- Ability to manage multiple platforms and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience handling sensitive or reputationally impactful content is a plus.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have) - Familiarity with paid social campaign strategy and execution.
- Basic design or video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.).
- Proficiency with monitoring and publishing tools (e.g., Vista Social).
