What Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Lead a distributed team of Web Producers who develop Avalara's marketing web experiences in AEM.
- Oversee and evolve the Web Production process to improve delivery speed, quality, and collaboration across UX, Content, SEO, and Marketing teams.
- Ensure accurate execution of page builds, content updates, and campaign launches in AEM and other digital platforms.
- Establish and maintain operational KPIs for production quality, publishing velocity, error rates, and global scalability.
- Collaborate with UX Designers, Researchers, and Developers to translate wireframes and specifications into web pages.
- Partner with Content and SEO teams to ensure content is structured for findability, localization, and performance.
- Define best practices for structured authoring, version control, page QA, accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Oversee intake processes, project assignment, and resource planning across concurrent projects and markets.
- Lead projects that improve production workflows through automation, tooling, or governance improvements.
- Represent the Web Production function in planning conversations and roadmap prioritization across Marketing and DE&P.
- Partner with Digital Project Manager on intake prioritization and maintain process compliance.
- Support team member education on intake best practices and enforce standards to reduce rework and accelerate go-to-market timelines.
- production documentation (workflows, SOPs, intake guidelines) with Digital Project Manager to ensure clarity, accuracy, and operational understanding.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
- 10+ years of experience in web publishing or digital production, in a global enterprise setting.
- 2+ years of people management experience leading production teams or similar operational groups.
- Advanced experience with Figma, including collaborative workflows and design handoff.
- Hands-on experience with CMS platforms like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including component-based page building and template authoring.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, image optimization, accessibility standards (WCAG), SEO principles, and responsive design.
- Familiarity with Agile/Lean workflows and project management tools like Jira or Workfront.
- Experience managing localization workflows and supporting multilingual site operations.
- Experience implementing authoring tools or headless CMS workflows.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Eloqua, Marketo) and analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics).
- Background in UX, web design, or front-end development.
- Advanced experience with JIRA.
- Previous experience in B2B SaaS or regulated industries.
