Morning Consult is seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial Enterprise Account Executive, Platform who will continue accelerating our high-velocity bookings growth by attracting new logo enterprise clients and overachieving on growth quota. This role requires the drive and intellectual curiosity to apply our cutting-edge market research and SaaS products to a range of industries and enterprise use cases.
Success in this role requires taking ownership of the sales pipeline and process, from prospecting new leads, scheduling sales intros, leading pitch meetings and running innovative demos of our world-class Morning Consult Intelligence platform.
As part of our SaaS Sales team, we provide product and sales onboarding support to advance quickly into territory and lead sales opportunities with Heads of Brand, Communications and Marketing Strategy at leading companies.
The Business Development Team at Morning Consult:The Business Development team is part of the Commercial division at Morning Consult. We build key relationships, think strategically about the issues clients and prospects are facing and generate the momentum needed to deliver quality intelligence that will help our clients “win.” Our aim is to drive sustainable growth across our entire portfolio of business in close partnership with Commercial division teammates.
What You'll Be Working On:
- Navigating SaaS sales cycles including Qualification and Discovery with some manager support for deal structure and closing
- Leading top-of-funnel activities including prospecting new contacts without leveraging partner/channel avenues, creating compelling outreach and scheduling sales intro calls with minimal oversight to drive high-volume sales activity
- Managing all pre-call prep and setting clear agendas for sales interactions to support Commercial outcomes. Leading prospects through Platform value demonstration. Creating compelling post-call follow-up including relevant MC content and client-facing materials with minimal oversight
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of MC Platform by conducting demos and dashboard views with minimal manager or SME support
- Tracking activities in Salesforce and maintaining accurate and timely sales cycle and pipeline data.
- Expanding the scope of an opportunity at a strategic and tactical level, and galvanizing the appropriate resources to execute successfully
- Understanding the competitive landscape and customer needs so you can effectively position MC’s solutions
- Willing to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement
About You and What You've Done:
- 6+ years of closing experience leading sales cycles at SaaS, data or market research firm
- BS/BA or equivalent
- Proven track record of professional success and consistent quota attainment
- Intellectual curiosity; ability to synthesize data and articulate insights based on audience
- Knowledge and interest in marketing, communications, data, or brand
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with survey research and its methods (highly valued, but not required)
- Perform such other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time in the Company’s discretion
